House Calls
Have camera, will travel! I'm always ready to pack up my camera gear and come to you because I believe some of the most meaningful photographs are captured where you live and breathe and in places all too easily taken for granted. I routinely travel within 90 minutes of New York City to private homes, small businesses, and parks.
To keep your session natural and fluid, on location I most often work with available light and on-camera flash. Staying mobile this way indoors and outdoors, I can create the most wide-ranging and resonant images. If needed, I have a "rolling studio" and can bring lights and backdrops, etc.
Don't worry that your home or chosen location isn't a showplace, that you don't feel photogentic, or that your pets aren't perfect. Two of my biggest strengths are making subjects of all ages and species feel at ease and knowing just the angle at which the camera should be pointed!
If I make a house call for a private session outside of Staten Island, my travel throughout the New York tristate area is billed at a flat rate of $80 if you live within 1.5 hours (including gas and tolls). I use the travel time generated by MapQuest from my location in zip code 10302 to yours and let you know what the travel fee will be before you commit to a session.
Fellow Staten Island residents don't pay a travel fee.
Studio Sessions
The benefit of coming to my studio is that it gives us complete control of beautiful, consistent light and takes away any worry about the elements. We can make images that show every color in the eyes and every eyelash. I enjoy the studio because its very limitations inspire fun experimentation. By taking the trouble to travel to me, you also save the reasonable travel fee!

A Revealing Process...
Whether you choose a house call or studio session, I promise our time together will be fun and rewarding. Creating worthwhile images is a process and collaboration that many people have told me they find revealing -- and even exhilarating. I've got more patience than memory cards and will happily work until we've made a variety of images from which you can choose.
We'll look at the images together on my laptop so you can see the results immediately and make sure, with no pressure or obligation, they're what you had in mind.
After viewing all the photos, you just choose the images you want at regular prices and discounts as seen on the OrderForm.pdf. You can purchase prints in sizes from 5x7 inches to 16x20 inches, and all prints now come with low-resolution, Web-ready files! You can also purchase high-resoultion digital images, and the high-res file is discounted with the purchase of a print.

The basic session fee covers the time it takes to shoot your images and is the same for both house calls and studio sessions. You can book by paying your session fee with a check or with your Visa, Discover, MasterCard, or Amex.
The session is $35 for up to three subjects. Each subject beyond three is an additional $15.
Save the travel fee *and* your own session fee if you host a portrait day for a group of friends, club members, or clients! Please e-mail me for details.
Note that your session fee will be forfeited if you cancel within one week of your session. If we must cancel an outdoor session due to inclement weather, we will reschedule for another day.
